Our Story
Built from a bus. Made for real events.
The Burger Bus started in 2017 inside an actual short bus in Santa Barbara, California. Founder Michael Gardner built the original concept with a big, simple goal: create a burger-slinging brand people would remember. The bus eventually made its way east to Denver, Colorado, where Jacob Ibarra carried the legacy forward and refined the operation through real truck service, real events, and real guest feedback.
In 2022, The Burger Bus became part of Food Truck Avenue under David Sevcik, a local Colorado operator and longtime industry friend. At first, we did not try to reinvent it. Michael and Jacob had already built something special, so we learned the system, protected the personality, and slowly expanded the brand alongside other Food Truck Avenue concepts like Mac 'N Noodles, Capital City Wraps, and Colorado Pig Rig.
As demand grew, so did the model. We added a Burger Bus trailer in 2024 and began working with other burger trucks that shared our standards for fresh food, dependable service, and host-first communication. The original 1998 bus has since been retired, and as of 2025, Burger Bus events are fulfilled through trusted partner and catering trucks under the Burger Bus network.
What has not changed is the reason people call us: they want a good burger, a responsive team, and someone who understands the logistics before the truck ever arrives. We help hosts think through timing, parking, service flow, menu fit, licensing needs, and the small details that can make or break a food truck event.
A burger can be made anywhere. A burger experience that makes guests feel taken care of is what The Burger Bus was built to deliver.
What We Serve
Fresh burgers without the catering chaos.
Burger Bus catering is built around hot food from the window, a focused event menu, and a line that keeps moving. Instead of overwhelming guests with every possible option, we help hosts choose the right burger lineup for the crowd.
Fresh From the Window
We prioritize burgers served hot and fresh, because that is usually where burger catering beats a buffet.
Built for Event Flow
For catering, we usually guide hosts toward 3 mains and 2 sides to reduce wait times and keep service smooth.
Flexible for the Crowd
We can adjust around dietary restrictions, event type, timing, and the service setup that makes the most sense.
The goal is simple: a burger menu that feels generous, tastes fresh, and does not leave your guests stuck in line.
Events We Cater
Pick the event. We'll help plan the food flow.
Burger Bus works best when the food is part of the experience — easy to understand, fun to serve, and planned around the way your guests will actually move through the event.

Serving Burgers Since 2017
How Burger Bus service works today
Burger Bus started as a single short bus slinging burgers in 2017. Over the years, we learned what makes food truck catering actually work — not just the food, but the timing, communication, and event flow behind it.
Today, Burger Bus events are fulfilled through a network of partner and catering trucks depending on location, date, and event size. What stays consistent is how we handle the process: fast communication, clear expectations, and helping you plan the right setup for your event.
Whether it is a single truck or a multi-truck event, our job is to make sure the food shows up on time, runs smoothly, and fits the crowd.

Regional Manager Matrix
Real people behind the booking process.
Burger Bus uses a regional booking support model so hosts can get practical help with menu fit, truck logistics, timing, communication, and event flow.
David
Senior Booking Agent
When corporate branding events and private parties need real coordination, David's the one turning stones to make sure nothing gets lost between the pitch and the party — a habit built from feeding Chevron crews 1,500 meals a day for a month straight and keeping FedEx fed at roughly 1,200 meals a weekend during Covid. He's also the reason multi-jurisdiction bookings got easier, having helped pass Colorado's statewide health and fire reciprocity bill, and he's steadied more than one event by shifting from truck service to buffet when gear gave out mid-route. His take on booking a burger truck setup that keeps the line moving: anyone can promise the job gets done, but the best person explains why and how.
Brandon
Senior Booking Agent
Twelve years into food truck and catering logistics, Brandon got his start front-of-house and expediting kitchens back in 2003 at Red Robin and Isle of Capri, then spent 6 years working trucks, smokers, and live service before moving into booking full time — including work with names like Amazon, Starbucks, the Denver Broncos, the Denver Nuggets, Southwest Airlines, Harvard, and Texas A&M. When he's lining up burger food truck service, he's fast to respond, quick to swap a contractor if something's off, and relentless about checking reviews, food quality, and presentation before anyone touches an event. His take on real event food without overcomplicating the day: keep the menu simple, so the truck can move faster and the line never stalls.
Jess
Food Truck Booking Agent
Before Jess ever helped book a burger truck, she was stocking and prepping them — 4 years of hands-on kitchen and truck work across more than 8 cuisines, built on a hospitality background running back to 2011. That kind of experience is why she pushes hosts to plan around the actual crowd, not just the headcount, factoring in demographic mix, vendor meals, and service style before locking in numbers — a philosophy she leaned on while supporting a 5,000-guest Southwest Airlines event and a 5-day stretch prepping 10 trucks across 50 events for about 7,500 guests, every truck rolling out with the right menu and inventory. She also runs the behind-the-scenes checks — insurance, safety compliance, references, fire-risk gaps — so your burger truck setup that keeps the line moving arrives ready, not just on time.
John
Food Truck Booking Agent
Permits, parking, COIs, timing — John treats the boring logistics as the backbone of great burger food truck service, having handled fire inspections and permitting in Denver plus event requirements across Los Angeles, Orlando, Miami, Sacramento, and Washington, DC. When a trailer tow vehicle blew a radiator hose en route to an Ontario event, he got the driver into a replacement truck and had things rolling again in time to serve, earning a rebooking the following year. Guest count, service speed, setup style, and budget, he says, matter just as much as the menu — which is exactly why he helps book the truck instead of leaving clients to sort through a burger truck network on their own.
Kaleb
Food Truck Booking Agent
When a contractor's wheel bearing failed en route to an event, Kaleb had a substitute burger truck lined up in under 20 minutes flat — no scrambling, just service that went off without a hitch. That same steady hand let him move a 200-guest wedding off buffet service and onto a burger truck setup with only 30 minutes' warning. Before he'll book a truck for your event, he's confirming current fire extinguishers, valid health and fire licenses, and coolers that are labeled and organized — because real event food shouldn't come with surprises.
Simon
Food Truck Booking Agent
Ten years in catering taught Simon that a burger truck setup that keeps the line moving matters more than a long menu, and he's spent 7 of those years running trucks plus 3 more leading prep kitchens that kept up to ten trucks stocked for hundreds of guests a day. His experience spans recurring Southwest Airlines service for around 1,200 employees per outing and brand work with Kroger, Amazon, and FedEx, plus a fall festival where guest counts jumped from 100 to nearly 300 and he simply drove back for more inventory to keep tickets on pace. Simon's fire-safety know-how and knack for streamlined menus are exactly what he brings to our burger truck network when we help book the truck for your event.
Stephen
Food Truck Booking Agent
Before he ever helped book a truck, Stephen was the one behind the grill and the wheel, working more than a dozen food trucks and a stretch managing a 12-truck network across events for 1,000+ guests. He's handled flat tires, last-minute bookings, and a full event turnaround in under an hour, so when he says a burger truck setup that keeps the line moving is possible, he's speaking from having built it himself. Ask him and he'll tell you: trim the menu to two entrées and the line moves faster, no burger flavor lost.
Thomas
Food Truck Booking Agent
Before any truck earns a spot in our burger truck network, Thomas runs it through a compliance-first checklist: full health and safety compliance, clear insurance coverage, reliable past performance, and setups that stay clean and organized once the line starts moving. His grasp of Denver Department of Public Health & Environment requirements and Denver Fire Department standards isn't just paperwork — he once traced a mid-event generator shutdown to a low-oil safety cutoff, topped it off, and had service running again with barely a hiccup. His take on booking burger food truck service for any event: plan the service flow, not just the menu.
Zo
Senior Booking Agent
Before he ever helped book a burger truck, Zo spent 16 years working the line himself—running trucks, smokers, and kitchens, and overseeing thousands of events, including a single day juggling eight large holiday catering jobs with a skeleton crew. That kind of pressure-tested background is why he zeroes in on prime meats, fresh prep, and a burger truck setup that keeps the line moving, all while staying sharp on fire expectations in Douglas County and Castle Rock. ServSafe certified with a culinary degree, Zo treats every booking as his chance to prove real event food doesn't have to overcomplicate the day.

Trust & Compliance
Professional catering support, not just a truck showing up.
Good burger catering takes more than a menu. We help define the food, timing, service flow, truck fit, and event expectations before the first guest gets in line.
Insurance & Licensing
Our trucks carry their own auto and liability insurance. Proof of insurance and licensing documentation can be provided when requested.
Real Event Experience
Since 2017, our team has worked in and around real food truck events, so we know what sounds good on paper versus what works in the field.
Reliable Coverage
Burger Bus operates through a network model designed to keep events on track. The truck may vary by market, date, or volume, but the planning, communication, and service expectations stay clear.
The difference is expectation-setting. We do not just sell you what sounds good — we help define what can realistically be served, how fast it can move, and what setup your event actually needs.
